THE SEASON IS APPROACHING FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The time has come to embark on another run at the title! Welcome to the 2011 season and I hope you all are as enthusiastic as we are!
Two items of importance:
1st: Equipment Handouts dates are July 24 & 31 from 10am - 1pm at Howard County Recreation and Parks. Please make every effort to be available on one of these dates. If you can’t make these dates, your child’s season could be delayed until someone is available to go to Recreation and Parks to open up the storage shed!
2nd: Parent meetings dates are the July 19th & 22nd from 6:30-8:30 at the Howard County Recreation and Parks. Please make every effort to be available on one of these dates. If you can’t make either of these dates, you may miss very important information that would be beneficial to both you and your child!

2010 SPRING FAMILY FUN FOR ALL!!!

Family Night at Fuddruckers
*** July 27 2010***
We are having a "FUN"draiser night Tuesday July 27th from 5-9pm at Fuddruckers in Columbia. Please come out and join the coaches, board members, fellow players and cheerleaders for a night of food and fun. Bring your family and friends and if you have any other children that may be interested in playing or cheering it is not too late. Have them come out and talk to us.
Just remember when placing your order tell them that you are with the Laurel Steelers so that we get credit for you being there.
ATLANTIC CITY BUS TRIP
*** ***July 31, 2010 9am-9pm*** ***
For those of you who missed the trip last year, another opportunity has arrived!! Join us for an exciting Atlantic City Bus Trip! Need a day to relax? Cruised the boardwalk lately? Want to try your luck on the slot machines? Craving salt water taffy? Then join us and start the summer months off right! Tickets will be $45 with a casino rebate to be announced. Refreshments will be served on the bus and there will be a 50/50 raffle. You could come home a winner!!

Mid-Maryland League News
Mid-Maryland has had phenomenal growth the past two seasons. With the other major leagues in the state struggling we are seeing an influx of more and more quality programs which has made us the largest league in the State of Maryland! The Culture and Quality of this league has made us quite attractive to lots of teams around the State. The Steelers would like to extend a big welcome to the two newest additions voted in for 2010. A big welcome to South Germantown which has upwards of 400 athletes and Woodlawn which has upwards of 250 athletes. The divisions they will be playing in will be determined in the March league realignment meeting! Good luck to both organizations and we look forward to competing against them.
